The fun and freedom of the self-drive tour.
I think we all loved Iceland and hope to return some day. The self-drive tour was a perfect choice because we had a safety net with Nordic Visitor but still had the independence to do what we wanted each day. We enjoyed coming during May because nothing was crowded and we got to experience four seasons of Iceland which was certainly an adventure. If we visited again though we would probably try to come in June or later in May. I was also worried that there would be a lot of things that we would want to do which would cost more money, but all of the most amazing things were free, and were part of the Nordic Visitor Itinerary. Professionalism and friendliness
In my conversations with other people especially during the Christmas celebration at Hraunsnef, many people had booked through Nordic Visitor and as far as I know ALL were extremely happy with the service provided. The attention to detail was excellent...eg I received a map of Iceland with my complete route highlighted, including dates of accommodation, possible places of interest and alternate routes (weather permitting). Someone had gone to great lengths to do all that. When I re-visted the office to thank Kristin personally for her efforts, I saw a colleague preparing someone else's map in the same way as mine... I thanked him for doing mine too. It was a great help as the GPS didn't always know where she was! And a visual aid is always welcome. In my many emails preceding my tour, Kristin was extremely patient and professional. During my three visits to the Nordic Visitor office I thought that that sense of professionalism and friendliness pervaded throughout by all employees!

We had a wonderful experience! Alexandra was such a pleasure to work with and helped us book a wonderful stay. We loved the welcome package--the map was so helpful with all of the highlighting of where we'd be staying, what route we'd take, and the sites we could see along the way. We have just returned from our holiday, so I am taking this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful time that my wife and I enjoyed on the Faroes. It certainly is a beautiful and enchanting place to visit. We met many delightful people who volunteered a lot of information about what to see and do, as well as telling us about life on the islands. The various visitor centers were very helpful, but the one in Suðuroy was particularly helpful and provided us with a lot of very useful information and advice. I will not list any highlights as you have probably heard them all before. However, I would like to make special mention of the guided tour in Torshavn by Hilda Thomsen. My wife and I really enjoyed Hilda's tour, it provided a fascinating account of both Torshavn and the Faroes.
Finally, many thanks for all your help in arranging our visit to the Faroes, and thanks also to Nordic Visitor for another great holiday experience.

You have a beautiful country and wonderful Icelanders. Everyone was gracious, warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed the snorkeling and the boat ride. after experiencing the tour "iceland complete" in 2009 with my travel-compagnon wolf, this year i wanted to show this amazing island to my brother who lives in sweden.
i really did not mind to book "the same tour" once again, it had been beautiful enough. imagine how surprised i was to find out that - ofcourse - you sent me to see the "normal topics" of this tour like thingvellir, gullfoss (and a number of other "fosses" ... with the exception of SELFOSS that we visited on own initiative and it turned out to be a town!!).... but all together you had chosen an absolutely new route, with new highlights /such as a night right under the eyjafjallajökull/ i could show my brother all the wonderful things that i had seen the year before, and see a lot of new things for myself. last year i have had the impression that this trip could not be topped ... it could ... or at least: it was not less beautiful but different.
in case i should find a "driver nr.3" i would not hesitate to book a tour with the same name once again!!!
so let me once more thank you so much for the brilliant job you have done, really adapting the journey to the needs and taste of your customers! everything that was under your control went absolutely perfect! *)

This vacation was definitely the most beautiful one in all my life, and you know how old I am and can imagine that i have done a number of beautiful trips. The preparation from your side was so absolutely professional, so excellent and brilliant ... other travell agencies in the future will have a really hard time to even come near this standard. I already plan to come again next year, either 10-14 days on my own, or for a sort of same trip with my brother. he lives in Sweden, and has been to Reykjavik a few years ago on a company-convention ... but only a few days, and has not seen too much. (but was fascinated like everyone who has eyes to see iceland). Once again: our warmest thank you so much for the preparation of this trip. even if you might say that this was your job ... you did an excellent job!! And you know we have met other customers of yours who said the same.

The trip was great!
The trip was great..extremely lucky with the weather - only one raining day (when we visited Askja crater)....but still ok since that day we had a warm bath in Viti crater :) The landscape was fantastic...we enjoyed a lot...from south to north, from east to west....as I told you we spent one day in Askja...then we visited Vigur and Ingolfshofði... We took more than 2500 pics, we drove more than 3300 Km...and for my friend I think this experience was even more exciting since It was the first time in Europe. We met many friends on the way - most of them "Nordic people"...we slept in great places....had bath in hot springs in the mountains...everything went very well.

It was the best holiday I ever had.
The service provided and information received before the tour was excellent. The standard of accommodation was excellent, for me the best experience was sleeping in the national park, however every single hotel was wonderful. We had the best guide-driver we could dream of. For us he was more than a guide. I have a deep respect and admiration for Asgeir who helped us to discover, understand and fall in love with this beautiful country. He adapted himself so kindly to our needs and tantrums! My daughter keeps talking about him. I do not exaggerate when I say he is her hero. Now everyone knows him in France and in England.
I was not expecting such high quality standard of meals. My favorite was a meal at the last restaurant where every single dish was a delight (Hotel Ranga). It was definitively the best restaurant along with the sea food bar in Reykjavik. Ask Thora for the name. It was also very nice to meet her in Reykjavik.
The weather has been with us as well. Every landscape and natural feature have been a festival of emotions for us.
Icelandic people are welcoming, and friendly. They love and respect the countryside and people. I am very happy that my daughter (9) had the chance to visit and enjoy such a magical country where elves, nature and modernity live together in harmony. I did enjoy this tour deeply. It was the best holiday I never had.

The service provided and information received before the tour was excellent. The standard of accommodation was excellent, for me the best experience was sleeping in the national park, however every single hotel was wonderful. We had the best guide-driver we could dream of. First of all, we just loved our stay on Iceland. Everything was quiet perfect, the receptions on the hotels, the bedrooms, and the places you recommended to see.

Already planning a return visit.
I recently (July) took a vacation in Iceland booked through Nordic visitor and had a fantastic time. When I was looking into going to Iceland I had to decide which company to use to arrange our trip. I found Nordic visitor online and liked some of their packages so I contacted them. Because I had never heard of the company, I initially was concerned about what we would get for our money.
However, I can honestly say that I recommend them 100%. From the beginning Jón Gunnar was incredibly responsive to my questions and requests and arranged a tour that was exactly what we asked for. Once we arrived in Iceland everything we needed was taken care of and our trip was perfect. Nordic visitor and Jón Gunnar were available during the trip to make any last minute changes or answer any questions we had. It turns out, once you get to Reykjavik you will see that Nordic visitor has a large presence with a big tourist center/office.
Again, I strongly encourage you to book your trip through Nordic visitor, you won't regret it. As for Iceland itself, it was simply amazing and I am already planning a return visit. Booked through Jón Gunnar and Nordic visitor, of course.

With his help we had a most WONDERUL day exploring the glaciers and the countryside of Iceland and we even also managed the snowmobiles which capped it all – the only problem we had was the mist and fog on the glacier meant we had no views so guess what???? We’re coming back sometime again (soon I hope) to do it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was an excellent tour! Maria provided excellent information and answered all our questions. We felt well prepared. We loved the hotel Nordica! Very clean, with a wonderful bar and restaurant. Very professional staff. The buses were clean and comfortable. The Nissan SUV for the Golden Circle Tour was great! The Perlan for New Years Eve was incredible!
All the tour guides were great, but the best was John who gave us the Golden Circle Tour. His knowledge and expertise was incredible! We chose Nordic visitor as we trusted that it would be reliable and helpful, it was extremely so. We followed Maria’s suggestions and we’re very glad that we did. We love Iceland and its friendly people. We’ve been telling all our friends about our trip and now they want to come to Iceland!
We would like to come back to Iceland to experience the summer months. Also, we would like to visit Norway and Sweden and would definitely want to go through Nordic visitor because it is very reliable. We know that we will have a well planned trip.
