This tour takes you to Húsavík, the "whale watching capital of Europe", where you'll set out on sea to enjoy a whale watching tour.

From Akureyri we go straight to Húsavík, the "whale watching capital of Europe" where we visit the Whale Museum to learn more about these giants of the sea. We explore skeletons, study specimens and fascinating facts about the whales before going to a local restaurant by the harbour and enjoy some refreshments. After lunch we set off on a 3 hour boat trip to enjoy seeing the whales in their North Atlantic native environment.
On our way back to Akureyri we stop by the majestic Waterfall Godafoss. This beautiful waterfall plays an important role in the Icelandic history, particularly in connection with the introduction of Christianity to the nation.
