Tour details

This evening boat tour offers a unique experience to see a magical winter phenomenon at sea. In just 15-30 minutes of sailing out the Reykjavik Old Harbour, we will be at a prime location in the Faxafloi Bay—far enough away from the city lights for ideal aurora viewing conditions.

Dressed in warm overalls, with snacks and beverages available from below deck, we’ll wait to be amazed by Mother Nature as the Captain keeps us entertained with some music. You can also take advantage of the free Wi-Fi or just enjoy the glow of the city skyline while we search for the lights.

Please note that the northern lights are a natural phenomenon, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. However, if there are no sightings on your tour, you will get another ticket to join again the next available day. See details under “Prices & Info”.

Nordic Visitor works only with trusted local tour operators licensed by the Icelandic Tourist Board.
