Introduction

A supervised river rafting trip in the river Hvítá, with transportation from Reykjavík.

Itinerary

The Hvítá river is a beautiful and fun river located a little more than an hour´s drive from Reykjavík. For more than 20 years the River Fun rafting trip has been Iceland´s most popular adventure activity, both for locals and visitors. With a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping waves and rapids, rafting the Hvítá (pronounced: Kveetau) is guaranteed to leave you with fond memories. We raft a seven kilometer stretch of the river and half way, in Brúarhlöð canyon the rafters get to jump from a cliff into the river.

No one should leave Iceland with out experiencing the power that its rivers contain and lay eyes on the scenic canyons of Hvítá river.

Duration: 7-8 hours

Departure days: Daily
Departure times: Daily departure at 8:00 - 8:30 and 12:00 - 12:30.
Departure points: Daily departures from hotels and guesthouses in the greater Reykjavik area.
Pick up: Pick up from hotels and guesthouses are between 8:00 - 8:30 and 12:00 - 12:30.
Return Details: Return to hotels, guesthouses and Reykjavik city center at approx. 15:30 and 19:30.
Minimum participation: 2 persons from May 15th- September 15th.
4 persons from April 15th - May 14th and September 16th - October 1st.
Booking
Can be booked until 2 days before departure.
Other
Participants must be at least 12 years old. You can choose between level 2+ or 3+.
Bring with you: A warm sweater, bathing suit, change of clothing and a towel.

No knowledge of the sport required.

Price:
11.490 ISK per person, with pick-up from Reykjavík at 8:00 - 8:30 and a lunch buffet.
12.490 ISK per person, with pick-up from Reykjavík at 12:00 - 12:30 and a BBQ dinner.
