Introduction
Daytour including a super jeep drive and mountain hike to the top of the world famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano.
Itinerary
Daytour to the top of the famous Eyjafjallajökull. Experience driving in a specially modified 4x4 super jeep and hiking on snow/ice to the top of this magnificent volcano. We pick you up in Reykjavík and drive along the south coast to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. It is also possible to join the tour there. You board our specially equipped super jeep, drive half the way up Eyjafjallajökull and then we hike all the way to the top. There you will see the enormous crater left by the recent eruption and a great view over south Iceland. Your professional guide will provide glacier equipment such as crampons and ensure your safety as you hike up the snow and ice, crossing crevasses and cauldrons. After a break on the top we walk back down to the truck and drive back to Reykjavík.

Seasons From 1 May through 31 August
Duration: 12 hours
Guaranteed departures: Saturdays from May 1st - June 15th. Sundays, Tuesdays, Fridays from June 15th - August 31st. Any other weekday for min. 4 people.
Duration: Total 12 hours, hiking 5-6 hours
Pick up: At your accomodation in Reykjavík at 7.00-7:30 or at Seljalandsfoss at 09.30.
Return Details: Transportation back to hotels, guesthouses and Reykjavik city center at approx. 18:00. Included: Transport, Super jeep drive, guiding service and glacier equipment
Note: Bring lunch, good shoes (can be rented), warm clothes, rain gear, sunglasses/sunscreen and backpack.
Minimum participation: 2 persons from Reykjavík.
Minimum age: 15 years
Some fitness required.
No previous experience needed.
