nordicvisitor.com is the main website, online booking portal, and trading name of Nordic Visitor ehf. Our registered headquarters is located at Bíldshöfði 20, 110 Reykjavík, Iceland. Nordic Visitor is a locally operated travel agency specialising in incoming tourism in the Nordic region. Our company is fully licensed by the governments in which we have local offices: Iceland and Sweden. We are also members of various travel associations. back to top

nordicvisitor.com is a secure site. We have taken every potential measure to protect and prevent any loss of data on this site. Financial information is protected by GeoTrust SSL encryption in transmission and data gathered on users is stored and backed up on secure service protected by the best firewalls available. 5. What are Nordic Visitor’s business hours?

6. Who organizes the day tours on this website? 
All day tours in Iceland are organized by Nordic Visitor. We manage all arrangements in close cooperation with our trusted local tour operators in locations all around Iceland. Nordic Visitor works only with established companies that are licensed by the Icelandic Tourist Board. back to top

7. How does the booking process work?
After you have submitted your booking on our website, a travel consultant will review the booking details and send you a confirmation email within 48 hours (Monday through Friday). Your credit card will be charged the full amount at the time of booking. We also accept payment by electronic bank transfer; for details, please contact us.

Once your booking has been reviewed and payment received, Nordic Visitor will issue the invoice and vouchers for all of your day tours by email (as PDF attachments). You will need to print them out and bring them with you to present to the operators of your day tours. If you lose your documents during your holiday, please contact us or stop into our office at Bríetartún 13, 105 Reykjavík during our regular business hours.
 
Please note: if the travel consultant is unable to obtain confirmation at the time of booking, an alternative will be offered. If you do not accept the alternative or Nordic Visitor is not able to offer you an alternative, you will receive a full refund if you have already paid.

8. How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking day tours at least one week in advance since they can fill up quickly, especially in summer. back to top

9. How can I pay for my booking?
We accept all major credit cards and payments by electronic bank transfer. See our day tour booking terms for more payment information. Our site is securely encrypted and all financial transactions are protected by the best firewalls available. back to top

10. What is the credit card payment process?
We charge for the full amount of your day tour(s) at the time of booking, and you will be informed by email when your credit card has been charged by Korta.is, our secure card payment provider. Our credit card payment process is PCI-certified, meaning that it complies with strict measures to safeguard consumer data via online transactions. back to top

11. What currencies do you charge in?
For all day tours and holiday packages in Iceland, Nordic Visitor charges in Icelandic Króna; please visit the Central Bank of Iceland website for the most current exchange rates. For holiday packages in all other destinations than Iceland, we charge in Euros. back to top

12. When do I receive my voucher(s)?
Nordic Visitor will issue the invoice and vouchers for all of your day tours by email (as PDF attachments) after your booking has been reviewed and payment received. 13. What kind of information is included on the vouchers?
Each voucher will include the name and contact information of the tour operator, the departure date / time / location, the contact information for Nordic Visitor (including our emergency help line) and any other important details about the tour. back to top

14. What happens if I need to change or cancel my day tour?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you must change or cancel your day tour(s). In most cases, we are able to offer a full refund as long as we receive your cancellation request with enough advance notice, preferably two weeks or more. However, we regret that we are unable to fully refund day tours that include flights. For more information, please refer to our day tour booking termsback to top

15. What if one of my scheduled day tours is cancelled due to weather conditions?
In the event that a scheduled day tour is cancelled by the tour operator due to poor weather conditions, we can arrange for you to go on the tour on a different day. If that does not work with your schedule, we can also offer an alternative activity at no additional cost or give you a full refund. Please contact us as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements.  back to top

16. Do you offer a discount for children?
In most cases there is a discount for children, although the exact amount depends on the age of the child and the specific day tour. You can find the children’s rates in the “Prices & Info” section of each day tour listed online. Please note, however, that some day tours with challenging physical activities may not be suitable for children. Contact us for further information.  back to top
